Shattered Dreams

Lost in the most subtle realities of life,

I awake in the night from my deepest Shattered Dreams.

She was all I’ve ever dreamed of.

The Femme Idéale of my destiny,

She was the one I always wished for.

But on a cold and lonely night,

She kissed me and said good-bye;

Leaving me broken-hearted from a wonderful fantasy.

She turned and walked away,

Leaving me here so cold;

Taking with her all the passion of my soul.

I’ve always dreamed of building my world around her,

Always dreamed of loving her to the fullest day and night,

Always dreamed of making her my wife;

I’ve always dreamed of…So many dreams, so far gone.

And every day I wonder why,

Why she had to go with just a kiss and a simple good-bye?

Why she had to leave me, casting me back into my loneliness?

Lost in my most precious memories, memories so far gone,

Still I try to awake from my Shattered Dreams.
