The Promise

"Nothing's gonna change my love for you.."
Was the promise he made.
A promise of a forbidden, yet, an everlasting love;
For, she was the woman he's always dreamed of,
The woman he loved.

"Nothing's gonna change my love for you.."
Was the promise she made,
When her mom and dad didn't accept him,
For, to their eyes he wasn't good enough for their precious little girl.
Yet, he was the man she loved.

"Nothing's gonna change my love for you.."
Was the promise he made,
For, when all the tests and trials she was the only one who cared.
She cared for him, she loved him like no other ever did.
He was the only man who ever really cared.

"Nothing's gonna change my love for you.."
Was the promise she made,
A promise so real and so true,
Promise of an undying love, a love so strong to never fade.
It was true love, it was real love.

"Nothing's gonna change my love for you.."
Was the promise they made to one another,
A promise to last forevermore, promise of a love like no other.
As death became the price to pay.
Death took him away, from the one true love of his life.

As the days went by,
She couldn't help but to cry.
Then the letter came,
To erase the pain and its flame.
'Twas the letter of a promise,
Delivered with twelve roses,
A promise of everlasting love;
Like one sent from up above:
"'NOTHING'S GONNA CHANGE MY LOVE FOR YOU..'
Was the promise I made to you.
A promise of everlasting love,
For, you are the woman I've always dreamed of.
As you read this letter,
I know that the tears won't stop falling,
For, where I am now, I can hear you crying.
I never meant to hurt you,
I never wanted to leave you.
But life is so unfair,
And now I can no longer be there.
I wish I could keep your tears from falling,
I can feel your heart painfully aching.
I hope you know that where I am now I am still loving you,
Forevermore, I will be with you...

...As I lie here on my dying bed,
Tears from my eyes are being shed.
It is said that a man is not supposed to cry,
But how can I not when I am about to die?
I am crying, not because I'm dying,
But because I'm leaving you behind mourning.
Here today, I renew my promise, promise of an undying love.
A love that was sent from up above.
My heart aches just thinking of you crying,
For, the tears are painfully falling.
As they fall, please don't be ashamed to cry,
For, just like you I cried before I die.
I’m not ashamed to cry anymore,
For, my tears became the roses I send to you,
To be the strength for us to live once more...

...As I leave you here today,
Promise me you will never let them fade away.
For, they truly are the symbol of my undying love for you.

I love you, Precious Pearl of my eyes, and I will always love you,
For, nothing is ever going to change my love for you...NOTHING!"

...These were the words he wrote,
Words from his last note.
He signed it with the tears from his dying eyes.
As I watched her cry, a tear fell from my eye.
She looked at me and she smiled as she kisses the roses,
For, truly they were the tears from his eyes;
Giving her strength to live once more...as their love lives on forevermore.

A girl too naïve

He went to see her.
He claimed he loved her.
He told her she was special to his eyes,
He told her he cared for her.
She believed in him,
She believed in a love that was too good to be true.
But too blind was she to see that it would turn out to be a lie.
He asked her: "Do you love me?"
Passionately, without hesitation, she replied:"I do!!"
He then said:" I love you too.
And I wanna show you how much I do."
He showed her alright.
Three months later, she was found pregnant.

She didn't know what to do,
She couldn't think of what to say.
She tried to find him but he was gone.
She called his house, he had moved away.
She tried to reach him at work, he was nowhere to be found.
Then, she realized how naïve she was,
Naïve to believe that those three letters were a show of love,
Naïve to believe that there ever was love, a love too good to be true.

Now, he is gone. She's all alone.
Six months later, she'll give birth to a new born baby girl;
A baby she'll learn to love and cherish,
A baby she'll teach not to be fooled by a fool,
A baby she'll teach to love herself before loving anyone else.
A baby she'll teach not to be too naïve,
Because, naïvely she fell in the wrong kind of love.

I remember…

I remember a time,
When I used to be in love;
A time when saying “I love you” was unconditional,
A time when caring for someone was never too much.

I remember a time,
When making love always came from the heart;
A time when being in love was so righteous,
A time when being compassionate was the usual.

I remember a time,
When loving someone meant giving your heart, body and soul to the one you love;
A time of giving and sharing,
A time of understanding and forgiving.

Today as I look around me,
Taking a glimpse at the world;
I only see a world filled with emptiness,
No time for love or togetherness.

As I look around me,
All I see is hatred and sorrow,
Pain and tears from broken hearts;
No time for caring and understanding.

So, I ask myself:
“Where did all the love go?”
A love that was once preached righteous.
“Where did all the caring go?”
A care that was once preached unconditional.

I wonder:
“Why can’t I go back to the time
When love was never taken for granted?”
A time when saying “I love you”
Was more than enough to put a smile on the face of the man at the street corner;
Or on the face of the man under the bridge,
Who has no one to care for him,
No one to understand him,
No one to love him…

The answers to these questions, and to many more, I may never find…
Still, those times so far gone, I remember…
Still, I remember.

If today was the last...

If today was the last time I'd have to look into your eyes,
I would gaze into the windows to your soul, forevermore;
As I engrave my name with everlasting ink onto your heart.

If today was the last time I'd have to hug you,
I would take all the time I'd have to hold you near;
As I wish time never ends, to forever hold and cherish your warm embrace.

If today was the last time I'd have to kiss you,
I would take all the time I'd have to press my lips against yours,
So I can savor your divine ecstasy for more than an eternity.

If today was the last time I'd get to see your smiling face,
I would take all the time I'd have to enjoy every second of it,
As I would cherish that moment forevermore deep within my restless heart.

If today was the last time I'd get to talk to you,
I would take all the time I'd have to say all the words always gone unspoken,
As I would hold your hand, feeling your touch, so soft and tender.

If today was the last time I'd get to be with you,
I would take all the time I'd have to do all the things ever gone undone,
As I would express in them how much I love and cherish you.

If today was the last time I'd get to see you cry,
I would take all the time I'd have to wipe your tears away,
As I would promise to love you forevermore with a love that's here to stay.

If today was the last day of my mere existence,
I would want to spend all the time I'd have with no one else but you;
So that, as I take my last breath, I can rest in your warm embrace just one more time.

The Morning After…

Here we are, face to face,
Lying here, next to each other;
Trying to figure out what we’re supposed to do.
Last night we said and did some things we shouldn’t have.
We had one drink too many,
We shared one kiss too many.
And today, here we lay,
Contemplating what lies ahead the morning after…

Here we are, face to face,
Looking into each other’s eyes;
Wondering, thinking to ourselves: “Should I stay or should I go?”
Last night we said and did some things we shouldn’t have.
We took one step too many,
We sang one song too many.
And today, here we are,
Wondering what lies ahead the morning after…

Here we are, face to face,
Staring at one another,
Not knowing exactly what to say;
Wondering if we still feel the same way.
Last night we said and did some things we shouldn’t have.
We broke the rules,
No more taboos.
And today, here we lay,
Contemplating what tomorrow will bring, as we face each other,
The morning after…

Here we are, face to face,
Laying here, our hearts race;
Trying to figure out what we’re supposed to do.
We haven’t got a clue.
Looking into each other’s eyes,
As we watch the sun rise
Wondering, thinking to ourselves: “Should I stay or should I go?”
We really don’t know.
We stare at one another,
In this awestruck wonder,
Not knowing what to do or what to say;
Wondering if tomorrow we will still feel the same way.

Last night we said and did many things we shouldn’t have:
We had one drink too many,
Shared one kiss too many,
We took one step too many,
Sang one song too many;
We broke the rules,
No more taboos…
…And today, here we lay,
Contemplating what lies ahead the morning after…

Soul Mate

A soul mate isn’t someone you just fall in love with,
But someone who’ll always be there to catch you when you fall.
A soul mate isn’t someone who just lends a shoulder for you to cry on,
But someone who’ll always be there to cry with you.
A soul mate isn’t just someone you enjoy having around,
But someone who makes you feel lost and incomplete when they’re not with you.
A soul mate isn’t just someone who can be everything you need,
But someone who wants to love you more than you’ve ever known.
A soul mate isn’t just someone with whom you connect on every level,
But someone who’s everything you need and so much more.
A soul mate isn’t just someone without whom you can’t live,
But someone without whom your whole world would crumble.
You are my soul mate
Because there is no me without you.
You are my soul mate
Because when I’m not with you I can’t breathe.
You are my soul mate
Because when you are not by my side I can’t sleep.

You are my soul mate
Because with every sunrise I love you more and more each day.
You are my soul mate
Because when I look into your eyes I see all of my dreams come true.
You are my soul mate
Because you are my sunshine after the rain.
You are my soul mate
Because every second without you, feels like an eternity.
You are my soul mate
Because there is no point in living if you’re not by side.
You are my soul mate
Because every time you leave you take a piece of me with you.
You are my soul mate
Because every time I hear your name my heart skips a beat.
You are my soul mate
Because your touch and your caress make me feel brand new.
You are my soul mate
Because your love is all I’ll ever need to make it through.
You are my soul mate,
And there is no one else I’d rather give all my love to,
Than to the one who holds the key to my heart.

Tell me again…

Tell me again those sweet words of yesterday,
For, I often tremble, lost in this horrible illusion
That keeps me ever so close to you.
I think I’m going crazy! Crazy in love with you.

Thoughts of fear and insecurity run through my head, asking myself:
“What is the worth of all my tears and my sufferings?
Can you hear me cry? Do you even care?
What is the worth of my dreams if they are not of you?”
So many questions that my heart ponders,
Yet I get no answers.
I reopen the wound that you have so cruelly caused me.

Do you remember the time when you used to love me?
Do you remember all the sweet promises you once made to me?
They were beautiful. They were sincere. They were for me.
They made me believe that one day you would forever be mine.
But now the fear of losing you weighs heavy on my heart.
And I begin to lose faith in you,
I begin to lose faith in me,
I begin to lose faith in destiny.

I cannot live freely although I hide my pain from you.
I pray to hear your promises again, for, I need you next to me.
Tell me again those sweet words of yesterday.
I want to live again, but I can’t go on without you.
Tell me again those sweet words of promises so far gone,
So, that, in your eyes I can find my reason to live once more.

The Essence of A Big Beautiful Woman

Big Beautiful Woman, You Are Beautiful!
From head to toe, you exemplify true perfection.
Your perfectly defined curves draw undivided attention.
With every step you take, you are always blissful.
Everywhere you go, you leave them breathless.
The span of your hips makes 'em want you.
The stride of your steps makes 'em speechless.
O, how beautiful you are! O, how they adore and admire you!

You make the men turn heads when they see you walk by.
You make the "so-called" perfect woman, feel less perfect and envious.
You make the Supermodel type so jealous.
Big Beautiful Woman, You Are Beautiful!
Whenever you walk on by, you are sure to catch ‘em staring.
It’s in the way you walk,
Even in the way you talk;
With every step you take,
And every move you make.
Big Beautiful Woman, you are full of splendor and class!

They call you Voluptuous, because you are radiant and full of sexuality.
You walk with pride as you sway your waist, with each step taken.
They call you Gorgeous, because your smile fills the air of sensuality.
You bow to no one, for your pride goes deep and is not easily shaken.
Big Beautiful Woman, You Are Beautiful!

Your style is truly gracious, you are a total bliss!
Men and women, they all wonder what is the essence of you?
Could it be the tenderness of your kiss,
Or the definition of the curves that make you YOU?
Could it be the fullness of your breasts,
Or the hourglass shape that you carry on with pride?
Could it be the honest feelings and emotions so easily expressed,
Or the sensuality of your touch, which you never hide?

Let me tell them of the essence of you…
...It's the sweetness of your kiss,
The splendor of your bliss.
It's the definition of your curves,
The fullness of your breasts, for the comfort of the one who truly deserves.
It's your infallible pride,
The power in your stride.
It’s the span of your hips,
The softness of your lips.
It's the extent of your sensuality,
The passion in your sexuality.
It's all in the way you walk,
Even in the way you talk.
You are a woman of class,
Shaped like a perfect hourglass...

...That is all part of the essence of a Big Beautiful Woman.

Big Beautiful Woman, You Are Beautiful!

When was the last time…

When was the last time you took a moment to look at your wife,
Or your husband, or that special someone in your life?
When was the last time you stared into their eyes and saw
That spark that was ignited the first day you met which left you in awe?

When was the last time you told them that you love them,
I mean, really tell them how you felt when they are around?
When was the last time you held them in your arms to really hug them,
To feel their warm embrace, with your eyes closed, feeling safe and sound?

When was the last time you looked at your wife and told her how beautiful she was?
When was the last time you sent her flowers just because?
When was the last time you looked at your husband long enough to see,
How handsome and good looking he is, making your heart full of glee?

When was the last time you kissed your son, your daughter good night,
Tucking them in, knowing that you will always be there to unconditionally love them?
When was the last time you took a moment to see the radiance of the sun in their eyes so bright,
Making them feel precious and special in the most meaningful way, never doubting them?

When was the last time you went to their school event,
Making sure that when they looked for you in the audience, you will be there to see them smile?
When was the last time you talked to them about how they make you a proud parent,
Reassuring them that you’ll always love them and be there to walk with them that extra mile?

When was the last time you kneeled down and prayed,
Asking God for His blessings, mercy and grace?
When was the last time you talked to God before you went to bed and laid,
Thanking Him for watching over you in your daily life’s rat race?

When was the last time you told her she was beautiful?
When was the last time you told him you’re proud to be his wife?
When was the last time you told your children they are the joy of your life?
When was the last time, to God, you have been faithful?

Tell me, when was the last time?
